What’s the relevance?

Why is it relevant to discuss Jeff Rense’s income? Aren’t the sources and size of his income his own concern?

The problem is, Rense claims–to both readers of his website and listeners to his radio show–that donations are “truly crucial” to helping him meet his “enormous” and “rocketing” costs. He asks readers, listeners and subscribers–through their donations–to “support free & honest journalism” and help him “better serve you and the true patriots in our country.”

Are Jeff Rense’s costs really so high–and his income so low–that he would struggle to continue running Rense.com and the Jeff Rense Program were it not for the generosity of his readers and listeners?
